Word 2013 get information from the Hyphenation Dictionary

I want to write a VBA macro which would separate words into syllables. In my language, this isn't an easy task, as you need to know the word etymology etc. - definitely not something I can automate.

But MS Word can hyphenate words automatically and for this task it uses a dictionary located in the "PROOF" folder. The dictionary file is not legible for me though (.lex).

How to extract the hyphenation information from this dictionary or - alternatively - coerce Word to show the points of hyphenation for a given word?
