I've been learning to code HTML games with Phaser 3, and I love it. However, I've noticed that most browser games are either extremely simple "example" games, or they're converted mobile apps that are meant to show off the capability of HTML. It seems like the only people interested in the HTML market are developers or tech companies.
While I want my website and games to be enjoyed by everyone, I feel like the average player won't care that the games are unique to HTML, or that I built everything on my smartphone, because there are amazing 3D games in the app stores.
Since I don't currently work as a programmer, the only ways I can think to be profitable are to:
Use my games to draw people to my site and hopefully sell unrelated products
Make tutorials and offer unique ways to utilize game development on websites
Hope some company notices my website and wants to hire me
What are current HTML game developers doing to make a profit or earn a living?
