Collection instances are just like prefabs?

I wonder why unity can load for instance 100 000 objects ( prefabs) and handle them inside the viewport quite well, while blender struggles to even move just 10 000.

Would it be easier for Eevee if those object would be collection instances? And, can we consider a collection instance the same thing a prefab is in Unity?
