I have started a Bootcamp Assistant disk partition that will not complete.
When I had first tried this I received the error:
Fix - "An error occurred while partitioning the disk"
so I ran the following command in Single User Mode to repair the disk:
this the current state of the disk:
/dev/disk0 (internal, physical): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *1.0 TB disk0 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_APFS Container disk2 705.3 GB disk0s2 3: Microsoft Basic Data OSXRESERVED 10.0 GB disk0s3 4: Microsoft Basic Data BOOTCAMP 284.7 GB disk0s4 /dev/disk1 (internal): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme 28.0 GB disk1 1: EFI EFI 314.6 MB disk1s1 2: Apple_APFS Container disk2 27.7 GB disk1s2 /dev/disk2 (synthesized): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: APFS Container Scheme - +733.0 GB disk2 Physical Stores disk1s2, disk0s2 1: APFS Volume Macintosh HD 486.6 GB disk2s1 2: APFS Volume Preboot 45.2 MB disk2s2 3: APFS Volume Recovery 509.7 MB disk2s3 4: APFS Volume VM 2.1 GB disk2s4 /dev/disk3 (disk image): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: CCCOMA_X64FRE_EN-US... +4.9 GB disk3
As you can see it does appear that there is a Bootcamp partition created.
I've now killed the task and removed the partitions OSX Reserved and Bootcamp.
Does anybody know what I can do from here to get the Bootcamp installation to complete correctly if I were to try again?
